For 12 days every year, the Minnesota State Fair brings top-notch family-friendly entertainment to Bloomington and the Twin Cities area. Minnesota State Fair highlights include amateur talent contests, horse shows, horticultural and agricultural competitions, a fine arts exhibition, midway games and rides, and a 5k Milk Run. Another of the Minnesota State Fair’s attractions is a daily parade featuring high school marching bands and floats.

The Minnesota State Fair also plays host to some of today’s top musical artists. Headline acts at the 2007 Minnesota State Fair include Brad Paisley, The Goo Goo Dolls, Fergie, Joan Jett, “Weird Al” Yankovic, The Allman Brothers Band, Vince Gill and Def Leppard. Also booked to appear at the Minnesota State Fair is hometown boy Garrison Keillor, host of A Prairie Home Companion.

The Minnesota State Fair has been a part of Minnesota’s calendar of events almost every year since 1859.

Minnesota State Fair 2007 Dates & Times
August 23 - September 3, 2007

Visitors are admitted to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds from 6 am till 10 pm daily. Operating hours for most State Fair buildings run from 9 am till 9 pm. Fairgrounds close at midnight. On Labor Day, ticket sales cease at 9 pm, with the fairgrounds shutting down an hour later.

Discount tickets are available prior to the fair and on discount days. Parking fees apply.

Tickets to the Grandstand Toyota Concert Series are available through Ticketmaster. Prices vary.
