Lucky’s 13 Pub
Come to Lucky’s, order a Lucky’s brew, eat some fantastic food, visit with the always friendly staff and regulars, and have a shot of rumpleminz for dessert. It’s a great day!
The food was very bland aside from the cheese curds I got. The fruit (pineapple, grapes, and cantaloupe) was unripe, hard, and unpleasant aside from the grapes. The coleslaw tasted watery.
The Philly steak was large in size but again very bland. The steak didn’t have a nice texture either, kind of mushy. The cheese sauce it came with helped some but only really to add saltiness. Not what I was hoping for for $18.
The veggies that came on them tasted more steamed than pan fried. And again, hardly seasoned.
The cheese curds were a good deal at $3.50, and were very tasty. Would love an option besides ranch like marinara to dip them in 🙂
Just not my type of restaurant, don’t think I’ll be back unless I’m in the area and craving a small amount of cheese curds.
The service was great. The staff was very attentive with all that was going on. Had the Juicy Lucy on a recommendation, and it did not disappoint. Small criticism was the beef tasting like a frozen Angus burger. That’s not necessarily bad, just I was expecting a fresher patty. The onion rings are pretty awesome! The ones I got were as round as the burger. Fresh and the onion didn’t pull out when you bit into it. Really good!
I would go back and recommend to others.
I ordered the monte Cristo and it was pretty good, it’s crazy to say but there was almost too much meat on the sandwich! You have the option for a side to have fries or onion rings for no upcharge so I was excited to try their onion rings, if you want an actual side, get the fries. You get 3 onion rings. The batter used is breadcrumb heavy rather than the usual beer battered rings which aren’t my favorite but still very good. I think this place has merit and can see why people enjoy it, I just don’t think it’s my specific cup of tea.
