I hadn’t been to Chanhassen since a grade school trip decades ago. Not sure why we waited so long, but finally came up for dinner and a show last week and LOVED it. Great night out! Will be looking for another opportunity to visit before too long.
Our first experience at the Chanhassen was good. I think they may have forgotten to put dressing on my salad as it was dry, but the service was great. Our waitress took great care of us. The building is old and somewhat outdated, but they keep it clean which is appreciated!
The place could use a little update. But it’s charming and a fun atmosphere. My steak wasn’t great but my sisters Chanhassen chicken was! Fresh rolls, don’t be shy ask for more if you want more then one. The chocolate cake was perfect!
Music and theater were a lot of fun. I did have a hard time hearing all the words, our booth was farthest away from the stage.

It was a good experience. The acting was great. I felt transported to a different time period. The desserts were beautiful, and the food portions were filling.
Absolutely loved the night out. Always a good time and good laughs. We went to the improv show and for a good price you get a show and dinner. Can’t beat it. Our service was amazing and the food was good.
I had a VIP night at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres for ‘Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.’ The performance was fantastic, and the food was plentiful. The energetic staff, especially our server Cody, made the night even better. “ Excellent Service” Although parts of the main theater could use some updating, I highly recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a cozy Broadway feel at reasonable prices.
My mother and I came to see Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. It was really good. I didn’t even know who she was til I saw this play. The food was good. I chose a steak. Which came with fresh veggies, salad, and warm bread. (Finished it all) For dessert, I chose the Smores Lava Cake, which wasn’t my favorite, but im glad I tried it. (Didn’t finish it) My mom ordered the famous Chanassen Chicken, which she loved, which also came with fresh veggies, salad, and warm bread. This is a must do for all travelers or even those seeking a date night or a group activity. All around, it was a great experience, and our server was super friendly.

I’m visiting from California, my dad and his lady friend treated us. It is so friendly, great service and the food is amazing. Try the Chicken Chanhassen. It’s to die for. The actors in the play were amazing. I really look forward to my next visit. 😊✌️
