Minnesota Children’s Museum

We always get the yearly pass! It’s a trek from the south metro but honestly it’s worth it for a full day of activities and all in one place. We went to the Halloween event this year and although their socials stated they were sold out with limited tickets available for walk-in. We walked in and there were consistently 2 people in line (which moved fast as they were properly staffed). The staff member who helped us get tickets advised that the tickets weren’t really limited as it’s hard to turn away kids with costumes!

We checked in, it was definitely busy so keep your littles close. They had their normal play stations open along with trick or treat at every corner handing out handful of candies. They also had extra activities like make your own Chex mix, Halloween bingo, build your own glow in the dark crown, light up ghosts (out of modeling clay), build a spider ring, etc.

It’s always fun for the kids and they had curious George theme in their seasonal playroom.

Kids loved it and the adults too!!! So many interactive spots to enjoy, build and create. Love the monster theme. One of the best children’s museums we have been to. Highly recommend.

We love the Children’s Museum so much. They have a great area for kids 3 and under, that we loved at that age, but adore the rest of the museum as well. Especially the upper floor- the firetruck, mailroom, and art area are all favorites. The car wash downstairs was a favorite for a while as well. I recommend going on weekdays, the afternoons are a little more quiet. On Tuesdays there’s no field trip groups so that is an excellent day to go as well. Be sure to bring a change of clothes in case they get wet in water play (although they do offer rain jackets to protect clothes!!)
If you’re local a membership is totally worth it.

A must see for young kids! The exhibits are very interactive for all ages. The car wash, outside mud slinger and kids climbing the 4 stories were the highlight of the trip. Kids passed out 2 mins into the car ride home. Must see, very fun fir kids!

Take your parking ticket to the Box Office for discount!

This was a fun rainy day place! First time here over the weekend. Lots of things for the kids to do. Little cafe with food and a fun craft room to do monster crafts!

In my opinion this is definitely based for little kids I’d say 7 and under. However we all had a fun time.

The best children’s museum I’ve been to! Mutlilevels, highly interactive, sensory materials, and fun themes throughout. We were fortunate to come during the Wild Kratts exhibit which my daughter loves. Be prepared to bring a few change of clothes as there is water play areas. Our highlights were the special exhibit, lasers, and car wash!

I absolutely love this place! My daughter and I have been here a few times, and the exhibits change to different themes, which is cool. Visually stimulating, and nice to experience something different each visit. Love how it’s a place for a kid to truly be a kid and tap into their senses, while engaging with other kids. Just an all around great place! My only complaint is the overpriced gift shop for kids toys. This is definitely a great indoor place to consider if the weather isn’t the best and you’re looking for something for the kids to do.
