We did an event at this museum. It was fantastic. The staff was amazing to work with. They were accommodating and willing to help to achieve a successful event. Maggie even ran an errand for me. Chris was spectacular to coordinate the arrangement and flow of attendees at my event. I would never hesitate to rebook and event here. Also the caterer was wonderful too. The food was amazing! Please support the arts and the staff!
This place is awesome! What a fun little museum tucked away in residential SW Mpls in an old Tudor-style mansion.
Our two young boys had a great time running around and learning about electricity and Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. The next day our 5 year old asked if we could go again.
Good thing we live nearby!
I thought this was an interesting place, however, it was quite overstimulating. There are lots of colors, lights, it’s overall chaotic.. I am neurodivergent, so that’s definitely one of the reasons why I couldn’t focus. There are some interesting things here, but I had a hard time enjoying it.. I remember the Frankenstein movie being loud and having flashy lights.

We spent a few hours here with a 4 and 6-year old. It was the perfect activity. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Both the kids and adults loved the scavenger hunts and the hands on activities.
Awesome museum with a ton to do for kids, adults and seniors. Very kind staff who go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. On the weekends, they have special activities laid out for kids to keep them even more engaged. The scavenger hunt is an awesome adventure whilst experiencing the various exhibits.
Absolutely worth to be seen! We were happy to be there!
The Bakken is THE place to have your event! Chris is incredibly responsive, super easy to work with. The space is beautiful, and makes for a perfect evening out on their terrace. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!
Such a great hands on science museum. However, first time in the four years I’ve gone that I got to learn humidity effects static electricity and so Ben Franklin’s experience did not happen today. Blue Star Museum for military members. Also has a great 10 minute immersive experience for Frankenstein Monster
My 16 year old niece visited and 1 hr was not enough time. Also, local art is now a permanent feature
