Bloomington Pride Bloomington Pride is an annual celebration of the city’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community. Taking place in September each year, this family-friendly event offers a festive and inclusive atmosphere with food trucks, live entertainment, local artisans, and diverse vendors. Bloomington Pride is a wonderful opportunity to support the LGBTQ+ community, enjoy delicious food and music, and discover unique local offerings. Whether you identify as part of the queer community or are an ally, Bloomington Pride is a must-attend event that showcases the rich diversity and spirit of the city. Queer Beta Queer Beta, a vibrant community of LGBTQ+ rock climbers, partners with top Twin Cities gyms to host welcoming monthly meetups for bouldering and indoor climbing. These events offer a safe, affirming space for climbers of all levels to challenge themselves, build connections, and celebrate their shared passions. By collaborating with Vertical Endeavors, the Minneapolis Bouldering Project, and the Minnesota Climbing Cooperative, Queer Beta provides opportunities to get active, form meaningful friendships, and cultivate a supportive LGBTQ+ outdoor recreation community.

Twin Cities Pride Festival

Pride at Mall of America Mall of America proudly supports the LGBTQ+ community by offering a diverse range of shopping options, featuring stores that celebrate pride and inclusivity. Fashion expert and cleaning guru Patric Richardson, known as the Laundry Evangelist from his book “Laundry Love” and HGTV’s “The Laundry Guy,” offers eco-friendly laundry products and household goods at his Mall of America store, Mona Williams. You can also check out Larissa Loden’s storefront for catchy, gender-neutral jewelry pieces, or visit one of Ragstock’s two locations to pick up apparel for Pride month. Mall of America also periodically hosts LGBTQ+-friendly events and activities to support inclusivity among its community members and visitors. These Pride-themed festivities can be found on Mall of America’s event page and are open to the public. Twin Cities Pride Just a short drive from Bloomington, Twin Cities Pride Festival is held each June and is a weekend dedicated to celebrating love, equality, and diversity. With a vibrant lineup of events, including the iconic Pride Parade, Family Fun Day, and the Grand Marshal Reception honoring community leaders, there’s something for everyone to enjoy—while coming together to support the LGBTQ+ community and create lasting memories.
