Minnesota Vikings: U.S. Bank Stadium
U.S. Bank Stadium is one of downtown Minneapolis’ structural gems, with its reflective exterior and Nordic-inspired design. The stadium’s translucent roof and walls allow fans to watch Vikings games, concerts, and other events with a spectacular view of the surrounding city. Since opening in 2016, the venue has hosted a wide range of events, including the 2018 Super Bowl, the 2019 NCAA Men’s Final Four, and superstar concerts including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Garth Brooks.
Minnesota Twins: Target Field
In the heart of downtown Minneapolis sits Target Field, home to the Minnesota Twins. The open-air stadium is accessible by light rail and tickets are typically easy to find. Hang out before the game at local restaurants like the Loon Cafe or Kieran’s Irish Pub, or head to Gate 34 for lawn games. Minnesota Timberwolves/Lynx: Target Center
Across from Target Field is Target Center, home of the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) and Minnesota Lynx (WNBA). In addition to basketball games, Target Center hosts a variety of shows, concerts, and other large-scale events.

Minnesota Wild/Frost: Xcel Energy Center
Minnesota Wild games at Xcel Energy Center are prime examples of why Minnesota is known as the “State of Hockey.” The arena in downtown Saint Paul buzzes with excitement as passionate fans cheer on their hometown team. In 2024, women’s professional hockey began play at “The X”, with the Frost competing in regular games in the PWHL. Before a game, grab a bite at Cossetta Alimentari or Herbie’s On The Park.
Minnesota United FC: Allianz Field
Nestled between Minneapolis and Saint Paul’s downtown areas is Allianz Field, home to Minnesota’s professional men’s soccer team, Minnesota United FC (also known as the Loons). Games here are electric, with scarf-clad, high-energy fans leading interactive cheers throughout the game. Minnesota Aurora FC: TCO Stadium
Minnesota Aurora is a women-led and community-owned women’s soccer team that finished its second season in 2023. Home games are played at the first-class TCO Stadium in Eagan, which is part of the Vikings Lakes campus and adjacent to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters.
St. Paul Saints: CHS Field
CHS Field in downtown Saint Paul is home to the Saints Minor League Baseball team, which is a Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. Home games are known for their unique, on-field promotions and activities that provide fun for the whole family.
University of Minnesota
Fans of college sports will love cheering on the Golden Gophers. The University of Minnesota hosts a wide range of sporting events year-round, including volleyball, hockey, football, and soccer games. The Golden Gophers have amassed several NCAA Championships and are a perennial contender in the Big Ten Conference.
