AC Hotel Bloomington Mall of America

The AC near the Mall of America is a very nice place in an excellent location and in walking distance to a couple of restaurants and some shopping.

The rooms are well kept and clean, and the amenities are quite nice. It would be amazing if they would engage a shuttle service for the airport, for the two Marriott properties in close proximity to one another, given that the location is often utilized in that fashion.

The only negative I can think of is that the rooms themselves well nicely appointed are not very comfortable. The desk chair was essentially just a slightly padded restaurant chair although it was clearly purchased to echo the design choices in the room if you were to sit there for an extended period of time for any reason you would be uncomfortable.

there may be some engineering behind that or there may not I don’t know but what I do know is they are not comfortable chairs. similarly, when I first sat down on the couch, the first thing I felt was the pull out bed frame. these things are not a deal killer but just know that outside of the bed the room doesn’t have a lot of comforts in it in my opinion.

That said, it is a beautiful hotel with all of the high water marks of one which is luxury adjacent. It is not the JW, but it is clearly a cousin.

First time at this location though I have stayed at many ACs in the past. Nice location across the street from the MOA, next to a few restaurants, and near the airport. Plenty of parking in the garage. Newer property, very well kept. HVAC worked nice with an optional ON feature. Bed was comfy. Nice desk area. I will stay again.

Seems like the best option near Mall of America. It’s a 5-minute walk from multiple entrances so you can shop until you literally drop 😂 My first stay at an AC Hotel, and it felt very new and modern. Cleanliness was on point. I loved the rainfall shower. They don’t do housekeeping for short stays but of course you can request anything you may need. ||Price was very affordable for how nice it felt. Full service bar with snacks was in the lobby, but I didn’t utilize it. Gym was huge and nice for a workout. Breakfast is available for a fee. All staff were so genuine, friendly and happy to chat. Checkout is noon and that extra hour is so nice since most hotels are 11. ||My only thoughts on improving: not much they can do about this, but I could hear some noise from the room above me. They did mention that they were sold out the weekend I was there, but that they aren’t usually that busy, so you may not notice this. And it’d be great if they’d keep the coffee out until noon or after for we late risers 😆||Also: use the train! The station is a few minutes walk and it’s cheap, clean and easy to use. $2 to get to downtown Minneapolis, St. Paul or airport etc. — way cheaper than ride share!

Front Desk, Bar , and morning breakfast team awesome! Everything was perfect. Hotel staff extended our check out time because my wife got sick this weekend from food from a restaurant. Not the AC hotel restaurant!…They accommodated us. Thank you guys and gals for this.

The Bloomington Mall of America AC Hotel impressed us on so many levels. We’ve stayed at dozens of AC’s and hundreds of Marriotts around the country but this is by far the best AC we’ve stayed. ||Location: |Only 4 stops away from MSP airport on the Blue Line train, the train station is across the street at the Mall of America Entrance. Easy access to the rest of MSP by train – as well as easy parking if you have a car. I had rented a car the first night but actually returned it early because the train was all I needed to get downtown and back for 2 bucks. There’s a full service restaurant next door to the AC I didn’t try but folks said was pretty good. ||TIP: Download the Metro system APP, buy your ticket ahead of time – the weekend pass is awesome and amazingly cheap – and the trains are clean, safe and easy to navigate.||Mall of America: |Again, across the street an easy 5 minute walk right to the entry and everything is there including dozens of places to eat, etc. ||Service: |The best service we’ve ever had in an AC. From check-in to the bartender to the housekeeping staff – these folks obviously have been hired and trained well. They go out of their way to keep you happy and assist you. ||Property: |Great extra small meeting rooms are available, fitness and pool are clean and easily accessible. The rooms are outstanding. Refillable water stations and carafes, roomy bathrooms and ample workspace area. ||I stay at alot of hotels and rarely gush lol like I am – I was just so impressed that this is my new “absolute” stay in the twin cities. I like the downtown hotels but this is worth it for the value and location but most of all the service!

Great hotel, nice rooms, clean.

My room reserved 3 days ahead of time was not ready and I was downgraded to a chair vs a sofa, not a big deal. More importantly they have no way to do laundry. That’s my main complaint

Got upgraded and the room was very nice and quiet. It is close to 2 restaurants with outstanding food. One does not really need to rent a car since there is the metro. The blue transit by the way is free to US veterans (need to show your ID if asked). If you want to spend a 2 day weekend, this hotel is the perfect place.

SHANE CHRISTENSON GM of this hotel runs a very tight ship. This is exactly how you run a hotel. It is by far the best AC Hotel I have ever experienced. The staff warmly welcomes you which instantly makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. The check-in process is accommodating noting your Bonvoy loyalty. The front desk staff explains in detail the location of your room and specifications. The place is spotless, modern and chic! I love the clean lines that the AC architecture has. It just feels fresh and hip. The room has a great feel with a killer bed. The bed for me is paramount. I want the perfect bed when I travel and the shower is right there. They also have YouTube on their TV which is very important to me when I travel. I loved the bed that when I arrived back to Mpls Shane explained in detail the kind of bed was in the room so that I could order one for my home. Talk about customer service! This is one of the best hotels in town…trust me on this! As an international jazz recording artist I stay at some of the finest hotels in the world. Shane and his staff will welcome you to the AC Bloomington Airport. Just book it!
