It’s been awhile since we have stayed at an ES. I always liked the design and layout where the rooms all face an interior courtyard so to speak. We were on the 7th floor but would have preferred a lower floor. It was interesting that they removed the balcony rails and converted the sliding doors leading to it to bay windows. Just as well as they were pretty tiny semi-circular balconies. A complimentary happy hour was provided with wine and beer, etc. along with a chess mix sort of appetizer and sliced zucchinis and yellow squash with ranch dip. You were given two coupons for two drinks each (generous). Nice touch! The dining area was spacious with lots of nooks and crannies including two interesting partitions that had a waterfall effect feature. ||I liked the room as it was spatious and loved the separate living room. Felt like a little apt.! The only improvement needed are the buckled up carpets in the common areas. This is an older hotel that still has popcorn on ceiling, etc. but overall it’s in pretty good condition. We enjoyed our stay.
I reserved two rooms One for my husband and myself, and one for our son, his wife and 3 children. I felt it was a very good value for the price. We each had a room with sitting area, kitchenette, TV and another room with 2 beds each. It perfectly met our needs. The check in was easy. The front desk help was very knowledgeable and kind. I wish I had taken note of her name. On check in we received coupons for drinks. We don’t drink, so we didn’t use these, but it was a nice gesture. They also provided snacks beginning at 5:30 PM. The breakfast was great, too. We were near the pool and breakfast area, so I was concerned about noise, but we were not bothered at all. I would stay again without hesitation.
We stayed here for 11 nights and the hotel did not disappoint! The front desk was nice and helpful, cleaning service was good, a hearty breakfast and complimentary drinks for dinner was a nice added touch. If I’m going to spend money on a hotel, my main concern is cleanliness and value for my money and they met both. You can tell the hotel is old, they have patches of paint on the door, patches of sheet rock on the wall, and we had a torn blanket and sheet until they changed the sheets, but overall pretty good place to stay. Only minutes away from attractions.
Check in begins at 4 p.m. We were unable to get into our suite until after 4. It was a Friday night stay and it was very busy. Our room was ready at 4:15 pm. The pull down bed from the couch was broken. The maintenance people came and did manage to get it operational. There were no additional pillows and blankets. The front desk did not answer any time we called so we had to go and ask for additional supplies. Our room was very clean and a quiet location. The breakfast buffet is amazing! We would stay here again.
We were only stayed one night. The hotel was very well maintained and clean. The interior was a little dated, but pleasant with water feature in the spacious lobby and it seemed some of the interior was updated. We were in town for a graduation and weren’t able to take advantage of the happy hour. Breakfast great! Made to order eggs and buffet with everything you could want.
Positive: we always love the embassy suites because it is so open and usually modern. this particular hotel needed updates Negative: our shower dripped a lot. and the floor was super wet. however they did offer to send maintence up. but it was late.
