Great Wolf Lodge Minneapolis / Bloomington

2024-Oct||Upon our arrival at a late hour, we proceeded to the reception desk to present ourselves. The courteous and efficient personnel at the front desk facilitated a prompt and efficient check-in process.||Complimentary parking is provided on the premises. Ample parking spaces were available, and the facility can be accessed via the front or side entrances.||We were provided with two adult wristbands that serve dual functions as room keys and cashless payment devices within the facility. It is important to note that the children’s wristbands cannot unlock our room or make purchases.||The lobby area was bustling with activity and offered limited seating options.||There are restaurants located within the facility. Complimentary breakfast is not provided at this establishment.||Multiple elevators were conveniently positioned throughout the building. Wait times may vary depending on the time of day, with the busiest period being after the pool closes at 8 pm. Pool towels are provided in the pool area. Wristbands are needed to enter the pool area.||Our room was suitably sized and well-maintained. It featured two sinks, one located outside the bathroom and the other inside, both with countertops providing ample space for toiletries.||Our lodgings included two queen-sized beds, various lamps, a nightstand with power outlets for electronics, a flat-screen television with a diverse channel selection, a closet, a coffee maker with complimentary coffee, a mini-fridge, a microwave, an ice bucket, a small circular table with two chairs, a pull-out couch, and drawers.||The bathroom was equipped with six sets of towels (body, face, and hand), a hairdryer, and wall-mounted dispensers for body wash and shampoo & conditioner in one, and body lotion.||The maintenance team promptly responded to our request within an hour to address the issue of continuous water flow in the toilet stall.||The housekeeping personnel were also prompt in delivering the additional bed linens when my niece, a student at UM, stayed overnight.||The indoor pool is operational until 8 pm and appears to be adequately heated. Slides, water plays, pools, and the lazy river provided ample recreational opportunities. Safety float vests are available for free.|The two slides for toddlers were closed for the three nights we were there.||Complimentary breakfast is not provided. However, there is a Dunkin’ Donuts located within the premises.||They offered complimentary dance nights and storytelling sessions for young children.||Rock climbing, an arcade with small prices, bowling, and rope courses are provided for an additional fee.||The hotel is conveniently situated, allowing for easy access to various dining options within a short driving distance.||In conclusion, I recommend securing your reservation in advance to avail the most favorable rates.||Wishing you a delightful vacation.

The rooms are clean and as quiet as you should expect for being a kid friendly hotel. The kids will love it here because there is lots to do outside of the water park. That being said if you would like to do those things be sure to plan and paying extra for all of that (this feels like where they make all of their money). They have package deals that I’m not always sure are worth it. They have a nice ropes course (bring close toed shoes), mini bowling, rock climbing wall, and one of the kids favorites is the magic quest thing. They run around with a wand completing quests and it keeps them occupied for a while and also does a good job tiring them out. The hotel also has lots of other activities like dance parties, yoga, crafts and other seasonally themed activities. These are free. The main thing is the water park and it’s nice but not huge. My kids spend a majority of the time in the lazy river. And the older ones like the slides. They have a nice area up top for the little ones. There is no hot tub or fitness center. Rooms have a small fridge and microwave. Some of the rooms have nice views of the airport if you like to watch planes.

The staff were welcoming & friendly (as always). The water park was all in one area. Features included a wave pool, a lazy river, a small kids area, several big slides (5 body, 2 tube, and one raft slide for up to four people), and a bodyboard ride called the flow rider which I have never encountered before. There was an arcade with plenty of games and things to do. There was a miniature bowling alley. There was a Dunkin Donuts. There was also two features I had never encountered before a rock climbing wall and a rope course.|The resort featured free WiFi. There was a breakfast package you can purchase for every morning you stay. It’s worth it; however, I believe the breakfast buffet that comes with the package was better at the Mason, Ohio, Great Wolf Lodge.|Our room was plenty big enough for the four of us (2 adults and 2 kids under 7). Our beds were comfy. We had the 2 were beds family suite. We did miss the patio/balcony that was offered at the Mason, Ohio, Great Wolf Lodge.|Overall I would say this resort is great if you have older children. Like children 7 and above. There is much more to do for them. Personally I felt like this Great Wolf Lodge was a hotel with wolf themes and a water park attached. If you are looking for a more of a rustic lodge Great Wolf lodge I would try one of the other locations. My rating for this location:BEST|I would rank my favorite Great Wolf Lodges in this order from favorite to least left to right (Mason/Cincinnati, Ohio, Bloomington, Minnesota, Kansas City, Kansas, and Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin).

We had a bump with the room and the manager , who was amazing, took care of the issue and helped us get a new room.

The staff there are wonderful. All are so friendly, hard working and have the best customer service I have ever experienced

From the water park areas, front deck, room staff and restaurant staff and everyone in between they served with a smile and willing heart. Thank you for making our family weekend fun and memorable.

Went for the water slides & Mall of America and stayed for the Kids Questing! Pool open 10-8 pm and the kid’s adventure questing we purchased (wands & 4 day package for gaming) was more than enough entertainment – we barely made it out of the hotel to the mall and to a Blue Jays game vs. the Twins. 2 bunk room with a queen was spacious and had mini fridge and microwave for you to bring your own snacks.

The hotel app messages you in helpful ways and even if you cannot check in until 4 you can leave your stuff in the car and go in the water park at 10 am in the day you arrive.

Parking is $15 a day in addition to your stay costs.

Great pool! Lots of rides and things to do for the kids. Warm water as well. Lots of lifeguards on duty|-friendly staff|-lots of stuff to do in the hotel in general|-nice sized rooms. Bunk beds are fun for the kids. Bathroom is kind of small- sink is in the hallway , but no big deal.|Lots of towels, and when we ordered for more pillows , we were answered promptly .|Also, not that thickest comforters to sleep.|Downside to the overall experience is price. We did go during the summer so naturally it will be more expensive. There is no breakfast included, and there is an additional $15 a night parking fee.|Overall the experience was good, we will definitely be back. I just wish there was some breakfast included in the cost|It’s also nice that the location is super close to the MOA

Reading the myriad negative reviews (after having booked), we were a bit concerned about how the stay was going to go. We were very pleasantly surprised.||We stayed in a “Queen Cabin” room with two bunk beds in a separate “closet” for the kids (all girls, ages 18, 15, 13, 9). It was a great choice. The room was quiet and clean. A little small, but very functional, and with the bunks, everyone had their own space. ||Beds were very comfortable (we are picky!) No issues with HVAC, hot water, or plumbing. There was a ton of counter space, which was good because we did pack much of our own food (highly recommend.)||We did notice minor wear and tear on paint here and there, but it did not at all impact functionality.||There were lots of opportunities to spend money at every turn, including the call we made to confirm the room which included three attempts at upsells. Gotta admire the persistence. ||We made it a personal goal to spend no additional money on site. (I don’t like being pressured to make purchases!) We did make one purchase, coffee at Dunkin. It was pretty weak. ||Check in was very smooth. On site staff was very helpful, friendly, and attentive to multiple requests we made through the chat feature in the app (room refreshes, more toilet paper, etc!) There was one hiccup with billing. We booked through Expedia, but a night was charged to our card by GWL instead of to Expedia. The manager quickly saw the problem and d remedied it.||We were very impressed with the water park. Wow. Something for everyone. ||We stayed Monday through Thursday. The place was consistently very busy. I can’t imagine what a weekend would have been like. ||However despite the crowd, the park is spread out enough that you don’t really notice it. Plenty of seating, plenty of water for everyone :). Only minor issue was long wait time at the wave rider feature. Average wait times for everything else. ||We were also extremely impressed with the diligence of the lifeguards. ||After noting other reviews, we were careful not to take valuables with us to the water park, including wallets and phones, which was doable because of the wristband system. ||We didn’t do any of the additional fee activities, and don’t feel like we missed out on anything.

This was my first time staying at great wolf lodge, my daughter loved it, it was for her birthday she really enjoyed herself overall my experience was good but my food in the restaurant downstairs was cold and not worth the money , my room was outdated and dirty the bathroom was not fully cleaned the shower had hair in it. I had to sanitize as soon as we entered the room. Jewelry was stolen out of my room and never found but my air tag says it’s there the staff was no help with trying to get this matter fixed.
