Great Wolf Lodge Minneapolis / Bloomington

2024-Oct||Upon our arrival at a late hour, we proceeded to the reception desk to present ourselves. The courteous and efficient personnel at the front desk facilitated a prompt and efficient check-in process.||Complimentary parking is provided on the premises. Ample parking spaces were available, and the facility can be accessed via the front or side entrances.||We were provided with two adult wristbands that serve dual functions as room keys and cashless payment devices within the facility. It is important to note that the children’s wristbands cannot unlock our room or make purchases.||The lobby area was bustling with activity and offered limited seating options.||There are restaurants located within the facility. Complimentary breakfast is not provided at this establishment.||Multiple elevators were conveniently positioned throughout the building. Wait times may vary depending on the time of day, with the busiest period being after the pool closes at 8 pm. Pool towels are provided in the pool area. Wristbands are needed to enter the pool area.||Our room was suitably sized and well-maintained. It featured two sinks, one located outside the bathroom and the other inside, both with countertops providing ample space for toiletries.||Our lodgings included two queen-sized beds, various lamps, a nightstand with power outlets for electronics, a flat-screen television with a diverse channel selection, a closet, a coffee maker with complimentary coffee, a mini-fridge, a microwave, an ice bucket, a small circular table with two chairs, a pull-out couch, and drawers.||The bathroom was equipped with six sets of towels (body, face, and hand), a hairdryer, and wall-mounted dispensers for body wash and shampoo & conditioner in one, and body lotion.||The maintenance team promptly responded to our request within an hour to address the issue of continuous water flow in the toilet stall.||The housekeeping personnel were also prompt in delivering the additional bed linens when my niece, a student at UM, stayed overnight.||The indoor pool is operational until 8 pm and appears to be adequately heated. Slides, water plays, pools, and the lazy river provided ample recreational opportunities. Safety float vests are available for free.|The two slides for toddlers were closed for the three nights we were there.||Complimentary breakfast is not provided. However, there is a Dunkin’ Donuts located within the premises.||They offered complimentary dance nights and storytelling sessions for young children.||Rock climbing, an arcade with small prices, bowling, and rope courses are provided for an additional fee.||The hotel is conveniently situated, allowing for easy access to various dining options within a short driving distance.||In conclusion, I recommend securing your reservation in advance to avail the most favorable rates.||Wishing you a delightful vacation.

Appears to be one of the nicer Hotels in the area. The theming and overall flow of the hotel is great, the lobby is large and open. It even has a big fireplace, there is a small gift shop, and even a very scaled down Dunkin’ doughnuts. That’s kinda where the good things end. Everything is an up charge, you wanna get discounts on the food or the build-a-bear. It’s a charge. You lose a towel in the water park, it’s a charge. You wanna park, it’s a charge. The room we stayed in was pretty small, but at least it was clean. The beds were small, with a pull out couch. The rooms do however need some maintenance. The door handle in the bathroom was falling apart, and we almost got locked in there a few times. The show rod is falling off the wall, the paint is pretty worn. But it’s not terrible. The value for the money isn’t great. The water park is smaller than what we were used to from great wolf, and could also use some maintenance. The one big water slide, broke down after we waited in line for at least a half hour. And we were told it would be closed for the rest of the day, this was at 4Pm. The wave pool was ok, and the lazy river was pretty short, but overall it was ok. Was kinda disappointed that there was no whirlpool either. There was a nice little bar if that is your thing, as well as a restaurant that served a variety of food. Big question being would I stay again, for the money. I’d probably stay at a smaller hotel.

Great pool! Lots of rides and things to do for the kids. Warm water as well. Lots of lifeguards on duty|-friendly staff|-lots of stuff to do in the hotel in general|-nice sized rooms. Bunk beds are fun for the kids. Bathroom is kind of small- sink is in the hallway , but no big deal.|Lots of towels, and when we ordered for more pillows , we were answered promptly .|Also, not that thickest comforters to sleep.|Downside to the overall experience is price. We did go during the summer so naturally it will be more expensive. There is no breakfast included, and there is an additional $15 a night parking fee.|Overall the experience was good, we will definitely be back. I just wish there was some breakfast included in the cost|It’s also nice that the location is super close to the MOA

A FUN-FILLED FAMILY ADVENTURE AT GREAT WOLF LODGE – BUT WITH SOME DRAWBACKS

We recently spent a thrilling vacation at Great Wolf Lodge’s Water Park with our kids (8, 9, and 23 years old)! From the initial phone call, the service was top-notch and efficient. However, be prepared for a bustling atmosphere – this resort is designed for active, fun-loving families, not relaxation!

Upon arrival, the complimentary wolf ears for the whole family set the tone for an exciting stay. However, be aware that you’ll need to transport your luggage to your room via cart, and be patient with the busy elevator.

Unfortunately, our room wasn’t cleaned during our 6-day stay, which was disappointing.

On the bright side, the facilities are impeccably maintained, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The resort offers a wide range of games and activities for both kids and adults, ensuring something for everyone.

If you’re looking for an action-packed family vacation, Great Wolf Lodge is a great choice. Just be aware of the potential drawbacks and plan accordingly!

The rooms are clean and as quiet as you should expect for being a kid friendly hotel. The kids will love it here because there is lots to do outside of the water park. That being said if you would like to do those things be sure to plan and paying extra for all of that (this feels like where they make all of their money). They have package deals that I’m not always sure are worth it. They have a nice ropes course (bring close toed shoes), mini bowling, rock climbing wall, and one of the kids favorites is the magic quest thing. They run around with a wand completing quests and it keeps them occupied for a while and also does a good job tiring them out. The hotel also has lots of other activities like dance parties, yoga, crafts and other seasonally themed activities. These are free. The main thing is the water park and it’s nice but not huge. My kids spend a majority of the time in the lazy river. And the older ones like the slides. They have a nice area up top for the little ones. There is no hot tub or fitness center. Rooms have a small fridge and microwave. Some of the rooms have nice views of the airport if you like to watch planes.

Fun. Relaxing. Quiet rooms. Not many great food options though in dining area. Rooms need repair but rooms were clean. Be careful buying popcorn at little market. A very small bag (much much smaller than movie theater) is 5$. I was shocked. You fill your small popcorn yourself from popcorn machine. Just bring microwave popcorn and do it in your room microwave

The staff were welcoming & friendly (as always). The water park was all in one area. Features included a wave pool, a lazy river, a small kids area, several big slides (5 body, 2 tube, and one raft slide for up to four people), and a bodyboard ride called the flow rider which I have never encountered before. There was an arcade with plenty of games and things to do. There was a miniature bowling alley. There was a Dunkin Donuts. There was also two features I had never encountered before a rock climbing wall and a rope course.|The resort featured free WiFi. There was a breakfast package you can purchase for every morning you stay. It’s worth it; however, I believe the breakfast buffet that comes with the package was better at the Mason, Ohio, Great Wolf Lodge.|Our room was plenty big enough for the four of us (2 adults and 2 kids under 7). Our beds were comfy. We had the 2 were beds family suite. We did miss the patio/balcony that was offered at the Mason, Ohio, Great Wolf Lodge.|Overall I would say this resort is great if you have older children. Like children 7 and above. There is much more to do for them. Personally I felt like this Great Wolf Lodge was a hotel with wolf themes and a water park attached. If you are looking for a more of a rustic lodge Great Wolf lodge I would try one of the other locations. My rating for this location:BEST|I would rank my favorite Great Wolf Lodges in this order from favorite to least left to right (Mason/Cincinnati, Ohio, Bloomington, Minnesota, Kansas City, Kansas, and Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin).

Bed was terribly uncomfortable. They hold basically a 100 dollar damage deposit and it takes more then 10 days to get it back. Food and service in the restaurant was good service being top notch. For the water park the life guards are very alert and are tested through out the day which I was very surprised and pleased to see.
