Hampton Inn Minneapolis Bloomington West

1) Remote control in the room didn’t work. The staff quickly gave us a new one and that issue was quickly fixed.
2) The amount of chlorine smell in the pool area was so strong that it burned our and some other guests eyes.
3) Woke up to a sign by the elevator stating there would be no breakfast served today due to no inventory of food to serve. This is not the first time we have experienced this with the Hampton Inn hotel chains. This is a big inconvenience as well as having to spend extra money on breakfast for a family of 4 is easily an extra $50+.

… with only a few minor misses.||Room was very clean and quiet – no rattle in the A/C unit! I didn’t need or request housekeeping, but they did a towel refresh mid-stay anyway. A sign indicated a full room cleaning was available on request.||The location is well away from the MOA traffic, which was fine for my visit. There is no airport shuttle, but I didn’t need it.||The “missing” front desk employee is noticeable. It didn’t impact my stay, but I did witness some frustration from a couple of other guests. Perhaps they can get more work done by being in the office behind the front desk – I don’t know? Some hotels forget they are in the hospitality business, not just the room business. All the employees were friendly and helpful – once I found them ;)||A couple of minor misses – no firm pillows available. I absolutely hate those floppy pillows! The breakfast spread is standard Hampton, which is mediocre at best. Having no bananas was disappointing. The desk chair was a bit rickety and sat very low to the floor (even at it’s highest setting) which made computer work a bit awkward.||Over the years, I’ve stayed at several other hotels (HGI, HIE, CY, etc.) closer to the MOA, but I would say the overall quality of stay and value to be a little better here. ||If proximity to the MOA or having a nice breakfast are not a priority, and you have your own transportation, this is a good choice.

I was very impressed how clean the hotel is. Also, the staff provides excellent customer service. Every time I passed a staff member, they asked how my stay was going or if I needed anything. Even housekeeping asked how my day was and how my stay was when passing by in the hallway. Great hotel. Highly recommend staying at Hampton Bloomington West.

I had a good stay here. Everything was very warm and cozy. It was comfortable. The breakfast was nice. I would stay here again if I was in the area again.

The purpose of my stay at this hotel was a quick overnight before a flight out of MSP Airport the next day. This Hampton Inn’s reviews were better than a location closer to the airport. I am glad that a stay here. The hotel is located in what seems like a quiet residential neighborhood with a couple of other hotels and some apartments. The property itself was clean, comfortable and quiet. Just what I needed with an early flight the next morning. The breakfast in the morning looked to be standard Hampton Inn. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay to eat because of needing to get to the airport. The hotel did have some “to go” breakfast bags which was very helpful. I got the airport in plenty of time for my flight and was prepared for the day thanks to being able to stay at this Hampton Inn.

Clean and quiet room. Good breakfast included. EV charging on site (though the single J1772 charger is broken as of writing and a level 2 NACS adapter will be needed until it is fixed).

Positive: The hotel was nice and clean. The room size and the bathroom size were great Negative: The bed was pretty hard and wasn’t the greatest for sleep.
