We enjoyed our stay at the La Quinta hotel. The staff was friendly upon our arrival and made us feel welcome throughout our entire stay. This is an older hotel, but it is well maintained. We loved the cleanliness, quietness and view from our 17th floor hotel room. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the size of our deluxe family suite. The pool water was ideal in temperature, however, we were a little disappointed that the hot tub was not in operation during our stay. The continental breakfast was an added bonus for our family members.
I like surprises at a discount so went for priceline’s 3-star mystery deal for Bloomington. However they revealed this 2.5-star hotel. More like an old building with updates. Cleanliness is acceptable. But I really would have preferred a real 3-star hotel.
On Priceline it didn’t mention free hot breakfast but front desk told me about it when I check in, and it was adequate and delicious so that’s a big plus.
Friendly staff, good fitness room but no sanitizing wipes for equipment and 25-lb dumbbells are missing. Swimming pool looks fine, hot tub out of order. Parking lot gonna need new paving in a few years.
My bed is comfortable but linens kinda beaten up. Room very quiet, A/C and heater worked well in the cold weather of March 2025.
Didn’t notice it’s pet-friendly so ran into some dogs. I wouldn’t actively seek out this hotel again, but if I bid for 3-star hotel with no breakfast on Priceline and get this 2.5-star in the future, I wouldn’t be upset either.
Average room, showing a bit of age. Clean and secure though. For the price, it’s pretty solid. Breakfast was hit or miss over the two mornings. All friendly employees I interacted with, so that was great!
Checked in late at midnight, everything was very smooth. I was a bit skeptical due to the reviews here, but I got a great room that was very clean, and had working microwave and fridge. My room was definitely upgraded had fresh paint and new carpet. Towels were clean and bathroom was clean didn’t see any mold. I didn’t use the shuttle or go to breakfast as I had a change of plans so I can’t speak on that. Overall good stay for a good price!
The room and property itself could use some updates/maintenance, but the room and all public spaces were impeccably clean, breakfast was well managed, and all staff that I saw – from front desk, to cleaning, to food prep – were extremely friendly and kind. Did not end up using the airport shuttle (which was a reason I had booked there initially) because my flight came in very late and I didn’t want to wait for the top of the hour to catch it. Overall, a clean and comfortable budget stay for one night.
