The quality of the room was generally okay. The bed was very comfy and was the highlight, but don’t count on the sofa bed to be—very lumpy and I spent the night rolling into the deep crater already in the center of the sofa bed mattress. The rooms used to have drawers underneath the TV stand, but they have since removed that set of 3 great sized drawers and installed two smaller drawers beside the desk. The drawers never wanted to stay shut and constantly opened by themselves. We had to put our luggage in front of the drawers to keep them from opening.
The studio also has a kitchen with a full size standing refrigerator/freezer, which was great. There was a sink and they supplied dish soap and a dishwasher. The kitchen also included 4 cereal bowls, 4 plates, 4 mugs, forks, spoons, butter knives, a small cutting board, a serrated knife, a steak knife, and a colander. It was stocked well enough for our small family. However, despite providing dish soap, there wasn’t a sponge to use. The bathroom was nice enough with a full size shower, but not a bathtub—not a problem for us, but just wanted to let families know in case this was a dealbreaker. Also, there is a small electric range with 2 heaters, but only one was working—and of course, it was the small one that was functioning. The larger heater was not working.
The hotel’s breakfast wasn’t bad—not as good as a Holiday Inn, but the oatmeal, eggs, potatoes, and sausages were okay.
The gym was very small–it was okay, but nothing to write home about. The gym at the Courtyard Marriott across the parking lot was much better.
Overall, the hotel was fine but it was better when they had a swimming pool and before the minor updates in the room. Instead of the moved drawers, they should have invested in updating the sofa bed mattresses. If you have a need or a preference for a hotel with a kitchen and a full size fridge, this was a good place. If you need a place for your family, this was adequate. However, if the kitchen amenities are not required for your travels, I would recommend another accommodation.
