Definitely worth a visit if you are in the cities. Beautiful falls surrounded by a very walkable park and yummy restaurant. It’s even great to see in the winter when it’s frozen over!
My family and I went this afternoon. My daughter absolutely loved to see the waterfall. The park was nice and clean, hardly any trash. Would highly recommend going if you are looking for a relaxing time when you have kids.
Went on a Saturday morning about 10am and the place was already packed. Had to park a little further down the street but it was worth the walk to the falls. Quite a majestic little fall. The unique part of the falls is how close you are to it. It still boggles the mind how easy someone could jump in the fast moving stream and end up being swept over the falls. yolo i guess.
Such a beautiful place! My first time here and it was a lovely park and walk. Much of the trail is shaded. Easy hike, not strenuous. We had a great time!
It was a great time at the waterfall, very good weather and wonderful scenery. It’s not the prettiest waterfall, but wow. Was the water flowing! There was a rental bike shop that was fun, just be careful because kids will easily fall through the bicycle. We had a good time, and I would recommend it to anyone!
Great for a weekend mellow hike and views. You can carry you own picnic food, go fishing, dip your toes in the river or buy sea food at the restaurant called Sea Salt which is near the falls. A few artists may perform in the park and there is great energy bustling through the people that gather there.
Minnehaha Falls is a great nature walk and view tucked inside of Minneapolis. There is a lot of paid parking close to the falls but also some free parking further away at some local parks. There are a few trails to follow from the falls along the creek down to the Mississippi River.
The park itself is huge & would be a fun place to visit during summer time.
