Amazing productions for all ages, as well as a great resource for education! CTC truly goes above and beyond to put kids first, without talking down to them for being young. They’re explicitly aware of some of their issues from past decades, and their accountability and transparency gives me renewed trust in their current team. As an adult, my partners and I love to go see shows here even though we don’t have any children in our lives.
We always love going to CTC! The show was fantastic (The Grinch) and we went on autograph night, so my daughter got to meet the actors, which was completely amazing for her!!
I had a blast visiting with my nephew, age 3. It was his first visit and he was enthralled the whole time. The actors were amazing and could sing and dance too! Very entertaining for adults too. I highly recommend it!!! There’s so much to do!
After missing A Year With Frog and Toad in 2022. I finally got to see it with my granddaughter! Wonderful show! We both had a great time. Parking was conveniently available (for $15), and because we got there early, we were able to spend some time in the art museum too.
I have never been to the Children’s Theater but frequent MIA on many occasions. The theater is more intimate with cushioned bench stadium seats. The current showing of “Locomotion” was very enjoyable. My guest for the evening was my daughter who also loved it. “Locomotion” really is a show for all ages even though the recommended age is 9+. The story is about a boy Lonnie who grows up in New Year and ends up in the foster care system. The narrative is done through proses and poetry. The audience experiences a range of emotions with Lonnie as he progresses from the family home to a group home then to a foster home. The story educates the audience on the foster care system, historical headlines and poetry. Aside from the seriousness of the narrative, there were many cheeky scenes that kept the audience laughing.
I went as a solo adult to see “A year with Frog and Toad”. It was so special to just enter this fantasy world, hear all the audience children squeal and giggle as the story unfolded….without worrying about watching kids of my own…lol! The Children’s Theater does an excellent job on theatrical performances. So go find your inner child and enjoy a fun, magical time.
Our family loves CTC. We try to catch every show thay have if possible. Great productions and actors. Never saw a show we didn’t love.
My family and I like theater and plays, so I was excited to check out the Children’s Theater company. We love Corduroy and the company executed the play so well. The stage crew were very engaging and were incorporated into the play. The actors and actresses are so remarkable! During the intermission the children were invited up to the stage to help clean up the mess. My children and friend’s children had a great time. I would highly recommend this theater. I’d like to return for more shows. Great work CTC!!
