It’s IKEA–of course it’s going to be massive and engaging the whole time. I like that most all of them are generally set up the same way and that they update the showcases according to what’s popular at the time. It helps me keep up with trends when I move for work. I just feel like out of all the IKEAs I’ve been to, this one was kind of boring. Most of the items are the same from one country to another, but they seem to make small adjustments according to their local market. I guess in the US I’ve only been to this one, one outside of Chicago, and DC. It is just surprising to me that the products/displays would vary so much from state-to-state–but again, it’s a reflection of the area. It was super busy when we went. Not surprising for a Saturday afternoon. My only major complaint is that the EV chargers are not easily marked. We only saw one sign. It’s on the lower level of the parking deck by the entrance. The cable on the left does not work. Someone was using the one for our parking spot so we had to charge up at MOA. The hot dogs are still good, and cheap, however 😊
Ah, young Padawan, I have journeyed through the vast halls of IKEA Bloomington—a true test of patience and will. The Force is strong in their pre-made room displays, offering remarkable insight into how every piece can come together in harmony. A true vision of balance, they are.
Navigating the labyrinthine showroom requires endurance, but the rewards are plentiful. The sleek KALLAX, the steadfast BILLY—each item a piece of the greater whole. Beware the self-serve area, where flat-packed challenges await—assembly is a trial of skill, not unlike constructing a lightsaber.
IKEA is not just a store—it is a journey. May the Allen wrench be with you.
It is a very large store and many types of furniture. The room displays are nice. Restaurant food is good.
You either love it or hate it. I love it! Every time I get stuck with bad choices, I end up at ikea finding a solution. Hate the countertops with the built in backsplash but on a budget? Ikea. Need storage in an attic bedroom with a million stairs that make 5 turns? Ikea. Snacks? Ikea. This trip was almost 3 hours, but I solved all of my immediate house problems.
I love browsing here! They have a wide assortment of everything home to choose from. Price tags tell you where to find bulk items. The only downside is the lack of staff to ask questions – you are on your own the whole time mostly.
The kid drop off land is open again and my kids like playing in there. The restaurant is delicious!!!! Worth a trip to browse and walk around if nothing else.
We looked at many room displays that gave us some great ideas. Didn’t see alot of workers any where in the store. Even checking out, it was all self check out. Decided to eat in the restaurant and selection was terrible. FOOD WAS COLD and had bèen on the line for some time. Won’t try that again.
This is a nice store. It is spacious. There are lots of things that could be useful. I thought the prices were fair for many of the items as well. There is a little market and food place if you’d like to get a quick bite. Self-checkouts are easy to use. Overall, it was a nice experience.
