Landmark Center
One of the places I visited at the Landmark Center was Hora meaning: Heritage of Romanian Americans in Minnesota. It’s just a wonderful place to visit. It’s like a museum with cultural events, books and dance of Romania. The people who staff it are very helpful and informative and you will learn a lot. The Schubert club is also in this building. They have a music museum and they have concerts as well. The Landmark Center also has old court rooms which have been updated so you can see what an old court room looks like! Those are just a few of the items or places that they have here, there are many more things here that you can visit. The Landmark Center was completed in 1902, it’s just an architectural masterpiece!
I would like to mention,if you have school age children, this is a good place to take them. They will learn many things. The Landmark Center will increase their educational knowledge. Especially the students who are in K to 12.
Finally, I would like to talk about the last two events I went to, because they were special. The ” Mosaic Festival” which was about the dance and music of world cultures. The last event was the Guatemala festival on March 30 2025. They both were exciting and the Guatemalaian coffee I bought was beyond excellent! Entrance to the Landmark center is free as most of their permanent exhibitions are free as well. These festivals have a small charge that comes with them. The festivals also have places set up to serve food. If you need a restaurant there are several very close to the Landmark Center.
The ” Mosaic Festival” featured music, dance, food & cultural events and crafts from eastern Europe, Turkey and other miscellaneous places. Just watching the dancing troupes was amazing. At the Guatemalaian festival what would take you hours of reading just to learn a little about that country. I had learned so much in the few hours that I was there. Simply by talking to people that live there or have a connection to that country.
Just get yourself to the Landmark Center you will enjoy it to the fullest. Their telephone number is: 651-292- 3225 for information. I would try to get on their email list to see new & upcoming events, which include so many different things. I highly: recommend the Landmark Center. I have enjoyed it over the years so much! You will too!! P.S. I will be going again soon & I will post more items. Some of the places I mentioned were closed, so I could not obtain more photos about those places I mentioned in this review. In the future the Landmark Center will have more: Music, Cultural events, History & Art. I will keep you updated, Enjoy the Landmark Center it’s amazing!👍👍
