Had the annual membership and upgraded to the gold this year. It’s definitely worth it as we enjoy not having to worry about reservations for us or guests. We go often and enjoy the events. Beautiful area and large enough to have your own peaceful walk down a trail if you want to get away from the main areas. Would recommend the tulips in the spring and rose garden even when the roses aren’t in bloom. The lights in December are a good show to take a stroll through. Stop by the gift shop on the way out to grab a souvenir. I want to join some classes they offer when I get around to it.
We came for the winter lights festival and were not impressed. The lights were cool for the most part, but not worth $30 per person. The exhibition was also pretty small. One should be able to hit all the 15 places in half an hour.
Perfect place for a fall stroll or even just some time in nature. Amazing views and very well maintained arboretum. The even do events and it’s the perfect place to go and get engaged if you were ever thinking of it. The staff at the arboretum is awesome at coordinating with you to pick the perfect spot for an engagement or even a different ceremony. Lots of awesome events and little things to do here. Buy your tickets ahead of time and be prepared for a small parking nightmare, but it’s great to go here
As a live wedding painter, this venue was incredible! Sooooo many picturesque spots to choose from! The reception venue was lovely as well and very accommodating for parties of many sizes. I can’t wait to paint there again!
My mom worked here for her graduate program. My dad and brothers play music here. I’m getting married here. Lots of memories. The arboretum will forever be apart of my family.
As you arrive your first stop will be to either buy tickets or to have your pre purchased tickets scanned. While it’s easy to buy there it does save everyone in line a bit of time if you pre buy them.
Next find a parking spot. Curve to the right to find most parking or go left after the big building to find the three mile drive. Make sure to do this drive regardless of whatever else you are doing that day.
Once you park there is plenty to explore. Take your time and truly enjoy your time here. Take a few pictures and then put your phone away. Especially on the trails. We barely saw anyone on the Ridge trail, which was really too bad because it’s gorgeous. If timing is short at least do the green heron trail.
There is plenty to explore inside the buildings as well. Bathrooms are in good condition and they have water bottle refill stations.

Beautiful creations using moss, cut flowers, and many more potted plants to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait for spring!
