Great as a store! Can do more to advertise classes, outings, indoor climbing hours and such activities, However they have the best supply of sports equipment and paraphernalia clothes.
The Location is wonderful almost on 35W and almost on the 494, the pinnacle was designed well with its glass windows to be a great freeway landmark and it works! I don’t know of any other rei store that is quite as nice, this store is very large, they have a bicycle repair shop, the sell rock climbing equipment, they have ski and snowboard services, they sell all the camping equipment from sleeping bags to food and clothes, lights, knives and watches, they also have a great selection of maps and books! Also they sell Garmin navigation devices. Near the checkout there is a nutritional section with hydration options that is really convenient. This store is just a couple miles south of Minneapolis and near a large population as well as close to local bus routes and has a large, open, flat parking lot. I became a co-op member and I am very content with my decision to support this business, I am going to start being most contiguous about where I shop, R.E.I. will remain in my list of store to frequent. Please put up a new/another sign inside with the pinnacle hours.

I’m going to Spain this fall and hiking the Camino trail. I’m not very outdoorsy and honestly wasn’t sure what kind of shoe/boot to get.

Zach was amazing with helping me try on various options and making really good recommendations. I found a pair that was esthetically pleasing and also perfect for what I need.

The welcoming customer service doesn’t end there!

Anastasia at the checkout was also friendly and so kind. I signed up for the coop membership ($30 for life??? Great deal!) and I’m just so happy with every interaction I had. Made the shopping trip a lot less intimidating and I got what I needed.

Excellent experience at REI’s bike shop with Eric who I knew previously as the owner at Northern Rose Bicycles (RIP🌹). I came in with less than an hour until close with a good idea of what I wanted. As the time was short, I just wanted to see the bikes in person and didn’t really expect to get to test ride so many, but Eric was present, patient, informative and helped adjust several different bikes before getting me out to test ride. I just felt seen, cared for, not rushed (I was the one rushing – letting him know it’s almost closing time – haha) and really just ended up feeling great about making the purchase. Great job, guys. We had a really great experience all because of a phenomenal employee, Victoria! She is beyond helpful in our search for rain pants and was so kind. She went above and beyond to help us find the sizes we needed when we were struggling to locate them ourselves. Victoria, thank you so much!

Great store. If you like camping or outdoor sports, this is like an amusement park. They even have a bicycle shop where I think (not totally sure) you can fix yours. The organization is a little weird, so it could be hard to easily find something specific, but people theare is super nice and helpful. I like that is a cooperative company, but that is something you have to take into account when you see things on sale, because some they only apply if you have a membership, so ask first if you don’t. Or read the signs.
