This museum is INCREDIBLE; one of the best science museums in the country! They have multiple floors of exhibits on all kinds of topics, and they really make them engaging and interactive through the displays they choose. There are also multiple interactive “hunts” throughout the museum that add fun in another way. Our favorite part of the museum is the Collector’s Corner where kids can bring in cool bits of nature to trade with the employees; the more they can tell the employee about the items, the more points they get, and then those points can be used to trade for cool natural items they have like rocks, minerals, shells, bones, etc. The staff are all fantastic and friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a visit or three!
So much to learn & so many interesting displays! I loved the mummy & Egypt section, although small. The most impactful section was definitely the native and racial history. Truly sobering and meaningful. I think it is amazing they had native people come and evaluate the display to get their input & it really reflects care and dedication.
Enjoyed our time today! Brought 4 kids (ages 7-12) and there was something for everyone! Great exhibits and tons of fun activities. Went on a Friday. Wasnโt extremely busy but there were a lot of school field trips. Paid $15 for parking. $20-$30 per person. Cute gift shop and food options! You can also bring water bottles and snacks.
the science museum has so much to offer- a huge omnitheater, the collectorโs corner (where you can bring in items to trade), the race exhibit, and the science behind sports exhibits are some of my favorites. the interactiveness of every single exhibit truly does help the learning experience and everything is at an 8th grade reading level which makes all the plaques fairly easy to understand.
My family loves coming to the Science Museum of Minnesota! There are so many fun exhibits that are great to see over and over again! There are 3 floors with various exhibits, including dinosaurs, the human body, nature, sports, music, light, weather, and so many more! We also love catching the latest movie/documentary at the onmitheater! The omnitheater is a great movie experience! The curved screen and surround sound make for a great experience! I definitely recommend a visit here if you are in the area!
So much stuff to do and see at this place. Will keep you busy for a long time. Got to go here with my sons school and had a great time. They worked very hard to make it a great experience for the class to be at. Worth stopping here and learning so much things. Everyone had a great time and there is something for everyone.
An underrated museum experience both for locals and visitors! I loved how it had interesting facts! I have also loved the mummy exhibit!
For me itโs not so brand new, and highly technical, but itโs very interactive anyway.
Great discounts if you have MFIP or SNAP cards of Minnesota.
