I recently visited SEA LIFE at the Mall of America, and it was a fantastic experience! The aquarium is well-organized with a diverse range of marine life, from vibrant coral reefs to mesmerizing jellyfish and sleek sharks. The exhibits are both educational and visually stunning, making it a perfect outing for families and marine enthusiasts alike. The underwater tunnel, in particular, offered an incredible view of the aquatic life swimming above and around us. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the facility was clean and well-maintained. Overall, SEA LIFE is a must-visit attraction if you’re at the Mall of America!
They say this is the biggest in the state but it seems a bit small. It’s decent though as I do enjoy the guided road to go through all the attractions there. We saw quite a number of sharks and sea turtles. Lots of varieties for fishes and insects. My boy would’ve loved it here. For the price at 25 bucks, not too bad! You can even buy shrimp at the end of the aquarium to feed stingrays in the pond.
Super fun aquarium and bigger than I expected! Lots of different sea life and other critters to look at while you’re there. Giftshop was reasonably priced and had lots of cool souvenirs. The touch pool was a little underwhelming. But still cool. On the down side it was a little pricey and lots of people were walking in without paying. When we asked if they stopped people going in for free we got told “they don’t control the general public”. So if you want a free aquarium trip this is the place to go!
Our family of 5 enjoyed this although my teen found it a bit underwhelming. The tunnel of fish, sharks, stingray and turtles was the main attraction. The other stuff was just fluff. My kids liked getting the stamps on the dive log along the way and the prize at the end in the gift shop was cute. The gift shop wasn’t too crazy priced and they had a good variety of product and prices.
I took a star off for lack of direction and having to wait in line a few different times. We didn’t know you have to redeem your online tickets for paper ones until we got to the front of the main entrance line. Then we had to wait in the guest services line to redeem our online tickets which I wish we would’ve known that before!. And after that we had to get in the main line again and wait again. It was a bit frustrating. I liked how they only let a few people in line so we didn’t feel crowded or rushed.

Lots of fun at the aquarium! Try and use toddler Tuesday promotion (child free with adult) or another coupon. I had a hard time using a promo code in the app but it was easy at the kiosk! The aquarium itself is well maintained and clean. There seems to be respect for the animals. Lots of beautiful species. There is a touch pool at the end. The huge turtle is my favorite. I would visit on a weekday to avoid crowds. In terms of wheelchair and stroller accessibility, it is accessible but if trying to navigate with a wheelchair it will obviously be easier on a weekday. The exhibits are set up nicely so that for the most part it isn’t obstructed view in a wheelchair.
You must try touring Sea life at Mall of America! Perfect for all ages. The sea tunnel was my favorite part. You got to see animals from all angles. Recommend buying your tickets online you do save a little bit more. It’s a walkway that begins with some jungle life animals and critters. They have sections where you can interact with the aquarium animals and make fun memories with the family. You’re able to purchase the family phot taken of you in the beginning of the tour in the merchandise shop towards the end of the tour. There is also a sensory station where you can feed some sting rays and get to touch other sea life animals. You can go at any pace you do not have a tour guide but there is staff that answer any questions you may have. Don’t miss out on this experience. 10/10
It was cool looking at the sea animals and they had tons to see! I loved the tube but the line was a bit long. My favorite animals that I saw were the sea horses and jellyfish.
This was an amazing stop for my family. We had a great experience at Sea Life. The price was high but most aquariums are about the same price. The animals/ fish were active and animated. The crowd was very reasonable and never once did we have to rush because of others. My son (4) loved the saw shark, poison dart frogs, and the seahorses. It took roughly 1.5 hrs to see and read everything.
