Excellent dinner at Bloomington Chophouse, located in the Hilton hotel. Went in for Restaurant Week and added a couple extra starters.
Service was exceptional — two waiters regularly checked in on us, ensuring our meal was pleasant and had everything we needed. Had a great conversation with both about food and drink recommendations.

Here’s the meal breakdown (Restaurant Week + more):
– NA Red Wine Blend — flavorful like a rosé. First time trying a non-alcoholic red wine and definitely would recommend.
– Buffalo chicken soup — good flavor, very creamy and rich.
– Crab cake — delicious! Loved it the most with the harissa vinaigrette and a squeeze of lemon. Really enjoyed that it didn’t rely on breading to keep it formed which allowed the crab flavor to shine.
– Hush puppies & Sausage — both excellent! Best hush puppies I’ve had in a restaurant in the twin cities! Great flavor (slightly spicy) and had a nice crunchy coating. The sausage was delicious, juicy, and flavorful. In my opinion, both were excellent on their own and the sauce was not needed.
– Brisket — nice fat cap on top. Pulled apart easily with my fork. Paired nicely with the pickles and mustard.
– Ribs — Delicious spice rub (sweet and smoky) and very tender meat! Stellar!
– Baked beans — If chili and traditional baked beans had a baby, this would be it! Sweet, savory, and smoky with 3 types of beans and bacon. Wowzer! Knocked it out of the park!
– Strawberry Shortcake — where to start? The biscuit was baked to perfection and loved the sugar granules on the top half. The strawberry rhubarb sauce was perfectly balanced — not too sweet and not too tart. The whipped cream tasted homemade. Fabulous dessert!
Overall great dinner! Will definitely come back and recommend to friends!
JayO was an awesome server, food was delicious, playing beautiful, the sauce on pork chop was so so good , wild rice soup was not a favorite, tasted over cooked, calamari app delicious, also the bread was served with whipped butter, olive oil & herb garlic mix that was wonderful

Parking is shared with the Hilton.
Server was pleasant.
I got a petite filet. It says 8oz but felt more like a 6oz.
I also got mashed potatoes which were creamy with a little chunk.
The filet was alright, about on par with a $30 one. For $60 its overpriced.
Atmosphere was nice. And cocktails tasty.
Overall probably a good place for a business dinner.
Beautiful place. Great attention to detail when it was built and from the staff. The manager, Brittany, is quite approachable and genuinely cares about customer service. We’ve stayed at the Bloomington Hilton several times, have eaten in the Chophouse and hung out for happy hours, and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food, especially when Melissa takes care of us. I had questions about a bill from a previous visit, and Brittany, graciously and thoroughly put my concerns to rest. Its a nice place to stay (The Hilton), and a wonderful place to eat, hangout and even make new friends. Thx Brittany, Melissa and the rest of the restaurant staff!
My friends and I had a lovely dining experience here over the weekend. Booking a reservation online was quite easy, and the host was very efficient. Our server was super friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the cheese board and the bison steak. The meat was tender and juicy and cooked to perfection, and our entire experience was great!
Absolutely fabulous dinner. Every course was delicious. I had a wedge salad and the blue cheese dressing was to die for. The ceasar my date had was equally wonderful. Delicious warm bread was served with it. We both ordered steak. Perfectly seasoned, perfect cooked. I had the Ribeye and my date had the sakura new york strip. The atmosphere was superb. The best part was the service. Our server could not have been better, he was knowledgeable and attentive. You must order a peanut butter bom to go!
Kind of confusing as they are attached to another restaurant that’s associated with Hilton. Because of this, orders are from the same counter.
Overall the service was great, atmosphere was relaxing and the food was fresh.
The one downside is my burger wasn’t seasoned which is not what you’d expect from a steakhouse. Hence the 4 star vs 5 star review.
