To be honest, coming from Texas it’s hard to find good Mexican food in Minnesota. The fajitas were kind of minced. Personally, I didn’t like the beans and the tortillas. In general, not bad but I think they could improve.
First time visiting this place while we were in town. Definitely rate the food at 10 out of 10 and very good service. Will be adding this to our list to revisit.

Maybe under new management?
Great meal options, menu, fast service and great tasting food
Food tasted good. A little surprised the size of this taco salad is pretty small and price is $10. Other guest had enchiladas which was also tasty and a big plate
Local Mexican place. The decor is vintage Pueblo chairs and benches complete with wall murals. Fun place to dine. Food is fine- the beef is tough- seem like low quality cuts. The plates are all super hot so you wonder are they microwaving or sitting under a lamp. Queso is always hit or miss on consistency.
This was my first time eating at this El Loro location. I ordered 3 beef tacos during a weekday at lunchtime. My meal was brought to my table about 4 minutes after I ordered it. The ingredients were plentiful and tasty. The server also brought a complimentary basket of nachos and salsa. The service was good. I’ll return to this location. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
We stopped there at dinner time on a Saturday or Sunday evening. The place was packed and they were traumatically understaffed. We stood there for a few minutes. We were acknowledged, but could see that this would not be an ideal dining experience. Lots of families eating there. Lots of people obviously sitting waiting for wait staff to get to them. We just left. Just calling this out – there was a management failure that night.
Overall I’d say El Loro is about a 3.5 to 4 stars. The portions to price point is good. But taste is okay. Nothing really stands out for me. Good drink specials and chips and salsa come to the table when you get there. I would’ve liked to have better service, fresher tortillas, not as dry meat. But covid might have played a part in these things and so I’m giving the a break.
