Smokestack Express

We got the marbled brisket- it’s nice that they give you the option of choosing what kind you want. There was a choice of lean, marbled, and fatty. We also got the coleslaw, the smoked chicken wings, the smoked chicken salad, and the smoked Mac and cheese. Everything tasted great. The brisket was a taddd bit on the dry and under seasoned side but the bark was juicy and seasoned perfectly. The Mac and cheese was good. The coleslaw was not great and the bread was cold so skip that. The highlight for me though were the smoked chicken wings and the smoked chicken salad. 10/10 recommend the chicken. It was so flavorful, smoky, tender, and delicious.

I’d heard about this place on Facebook and had been wanting to try it for a while. We got there right after opening and ordered a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and a brisket sandwich with man and cheese plus some potato salad to share. It was all very good. Brisket and pork were tender, tangy coleslaw, potato salad had pickles in it which was a great surprise. Mac and cheese was good as well. They even have an ice cream machine with cones for free afterwards. I wish this place was closer to home but it was definitely worth the drive!
BBQ sauces were delicious too.

Nice little BBQ hidden jem. the employees are very nice and helpful as soon as you walk in you feel welcomed. the food is absolutely delicious. very well cooked and seasoned. decent portion sizes for the price and quality.

I stopped in for the first time today to pick up some ribs, brisket and coleslaw for the Superbowl. Everything was absolutely excellent! The meats were smoked and spiced to perfection. The ribs were meaty and lean, which is something you can’t always count on. We will be back again and again!

I love a good brisket! Ordered the brisket to go but 20 min it was pretty cold and dry. Not sure if the brisket was from earlier in the week. Also ordered the chicken and ribs and that was good.

Stopped by Smokestack Express today for lunch with my daughter and my brother and hands down ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The brisket was tender, ribs were perfect, beans had a ton of flavor, Mac n cheese was delicious and don’t sleep on the sauces. Personally I really liked the spicy and the hot but that sweet was also amazing as well. Trevor and his crew do an amazing job. Everything was cooked to perfection. If you’re in the Bloomington Mn area this is a must stop place for Que! Great job Smokestack Express. 5 ⭐️’s all the way.

Heard about the Smokestack Express from a friend who knows I love a good pulled pork Sammie.

The Sandwich was on point. The pork was flavorful, soft and broken up so you could see it was actually pork. Topped the sandwich with the slaw and didn’t even use the sauce.

Family got the Mac attack and a brisket dinner. Both were amazing, when they asked if we preferred a fatty or lean brisket cut I was floored.. Game changer.

They have a good selection of sauces, on the thick side, I prefer the vinegar usually.

Can’t wait to go back next weekend and try the ribs and meatloaf. You have to preorder the meatloaf, but I’m excited to try it.

Bought the Pack 1, and added a 1lb chicken plate, and had this for a Football watching party.
We had 6 people and food was delicious, cooked perfectly, and was more than enough as the portions were very generous. Three couples shared the leftovers (some of each meat), to take home which all will enjoy the next day.
Definitely do this again for a get together.
Also food was ready for pickup and they had kept the food in warning ovens until we picked it up. Very friendly staff also.Worth the money.
