The space is really great with a classic diner feel throughout. We had a party of 11 (for which we were forced to pay 18% gratuity as if a party of 11 takes more work than 5 parties of two at once). I got a salad, which was definitely expensive for what it was – for the $9 price it should have included protein. I got a butterscotch malt, which was indeed very good; it is hard to find places that serve butterscotch anymore. Lastly, the onion rings were very good (and rather pricey at $8 for a family size side). All in, this is a fun place to get a malt, but I can’t say the food lived up to an $80 meal for a family of five.
We’ve never been to a Snuffy’s so we didn’t know what to expect. Hubby had a mushroom cheese burger and I had a Snuffy’s Lindy. That was egg salad sandwich with lettuce tomatoes and bacon on your choice of bread. (I picked whole wheat and it came toasted.) We had a single serving of onion rings, plenty of em! Hubbs also had a colada milkshake that was quite yummy. This is the kind of place that gives you what’s left in the metal canister to finish!
OMG,, the food is outstanding!! Got a bacon burger, fries and banana malt which was also the best!!
Waitress very nice and clean restaurant. Only thing is the rest rooms were like 90 degrees!!
Very well worth the trip and money.
Fairly infrequent diner there, but in love with them over the pandemic… they did a great job adjusting through that period. On a busy Lenten Friday, we decided our monthy eat out was gonna be Snuffys ….the place was packed…. we’d never seen it that busy… we thought about going elsewhere.
Simply put, I told my wife we’re coming back tomorrow, right?
Excellent food…tator tots, Ruben and fish and chips were perfectly done…everything was crispy and not not overdone / burnt. The service was great, down to the little things, like the manager bringing out, on his own, 2 small plates for setting down the Reuben or some ketchup as the baskets were headed over and we had a small table. I noticed him helping servers and diners the entire time. Really great food, service and atmosphere! Noticeablely better than most places recently.

This is a great place for kids. The staff were amazing! Seriously, this place has the best atmosphere. It’s also not too expensive and the malts are amazing. We brought rambunctious kids and the staff was so sweet. It made for an excellent end to our evening. It’s also very close to the Mall of America so if you wanted to eat in the area but not at the mall, stop here. Also a great place for casual first meet/ date. Her a malt.
Snuffys is I guess a modern tale on the 50s malt shop/diner idea. Their menu fits the bill, however; inside the decor is kinda underwhelming. You expect checker and 50s music and we got red stripes and 70s British pop punk. It seemed more like a pizzeria.
The food was up to snuff(lol) for malt shop fare though. It was cheap and you got a ton for your money. My strawberry banana malt was nostalgic, and my chicken fingers and onion rings hit the spot.
The service was good. Not over the top, just what you would expect. She was nice and the food came super fast. It’s probably a great place to bring kids because the wait is short.
Another great meal at Snuffy’s!
