The space is really great with a classic diner feel throughout. We had a party of 11 (for which we were forced to pay 18% gratuity as if a party of 11 takes more work than 5 parties of two at once). I got a salad, which was definitely expensive for what it was – for the $9 price it should have included protein. I got a butterscotch malt, which was indeed very good; it is hard to find places that serve butterscotch anymore. Lastly, the onion rings were very good (and rather pricey at $8 for a family size side). All in, this is a fun place to get a malt, but I can’t say the food lived up to an $80 meal for a family of five.
We’ve never been to a Snuffy’s so we didn’t know what to expect. Hubby had a mushroom cheese burger and I had a Snuffy’s Lindy. That was egg salad sandwich with lettuce tomatoes and bacon on your choice of bread. (I picked whole wheat and it came toasted.) We had a single serving of onion rings, plenty of em! Hubbs also had a colada milkshake that was quite yummy. This is the kind of place that gives you what’s left in the metal canister to finish!
This is a great place for kids. The staff were amazing! Seriously, this place has the best atmosphere. It’s also not too expensive and the malts are amazing. We brought rambunctious kids and the staff was so sweet. It made for an excellent end to our evening. It’s also very close to the Mall of America so if you wanted to eat in the area but not at the mall, stop here. Also a great place for casual first meet/ date. Her a malt.
OMG,, the food is outstanding!! Got a bacon burger, fries and banana malt which was also the best!!
Waitress very nice and clean restaurant. Only thing is the rest rooms were like 90 degrees!!
Very well worth the trip and money.
Very good classic a-la-carte burger and malt shop. The malt menu is awesome, and the half-size malt is plenty for most folks, except perhaps athletes with high calorie diets or construction workers coming off of a hot shift working on the freeway. 😉 Prices are reasonable and well marked, as opposed to so many restaurants that don’t tell how much drinks cost. The staff is very busy helping many customers, but service is great when they aren’t swamped. Giving them a little patience is worth it.
Snuffys is I guess a modern tale on the 50s malt shop/diner idea. Their menu fits the bill, however; inside the decor is kinda underwhelming. You expect checker and 50s music and we got red stripes and 70s British pop punk. It seemed more like a pizzeria.
The food was up to snuff(lol) for malt shop fare though. It was cheap and you got a ton for your money. My strawberry banana malt was nostalgic, and my chicken fingers and onion rings hit the spot.
The service was good. Not over the top, just what you would expect. She was nice and the food came super fast. It’s probably a great place to bring kids because the wait is short.
Popped in with two kids for a quick bite after visiting the new close by Enginnering museum. First visit— friendly and efficient staff. We all had a BLT and extra crispy fries. Oh! And the best malts. (Order a small for kids or split a large.)
This was a fun place to stop and eat at. The desserts were great!
