UPTOWN. This system of lakes and parks provides an outdoor spot in the midst of the city and is referred to by locals as simply "the Lakes." Hyland Ski & Snowboard Area is part of the Three Rivers Park District within the 1,000-acre Hyland Park Reserve, just minutes from the Mall of America. Known for its snowmaking and grooming, Hyland Ski & Snowboard Area is a welcome wintertime retreat for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding. Skiing and snowboarding lessons and programs are available for Hyland visitors of all skill levels. The chalet complex at Hyland Ski & Snowboard Area offers a food court, seating, equipment, rentals and lockers. During the warmer months, outdoor enthusiasts may wish to visit the Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area Chalet Drive Golf & Practice Center, which includes a driving range, putting green and other practice facilities.

The Minneapolis Farmers' Market, also known as the Lyndale Market, is a year-round farmers' market in downtown Minneapolis where you'll find everything from locally grown produce to handcrafted items and freshly baked desserts. This market has been a staple in the local community since its inception in 1937, and it continues to bring fresh products to the people of the Twin Cities. WEST MINNEAPOLIS. Minnehaha Creek drops 53 feet to form beautiful Minnehaha Falls, an impressive sight year-round. Minnehaha Park, with its 193 acres, is a favorite spot for family get-togethers and company picnics.
